Kim E. Bergeron

Kim Bergeron is the owner of K.E. Bergeron Mechanical Systems, LLC located at 216 Marlboro Street, Keene, NH which designs, installs and services heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) in residential, commercial and industrial applications.  He is also a partner in an eight-apartment “green” environmentally- conscious complex on Emerald Street and owns and manages multiple rental properties.  A native of Keene, Kim currently resides in Dublin with his wife, Jennifer, and two children.

After graduating from UNH with a BS Degree in Mechanical Engineering in 1990, Kim accepted a position in the U.S. Navy’s Professional Development Career (PDC) Program as a Construction Contract Manager and Energy Efficiency Auditor in Port Hueneme, CA.  In this capacity, Kim reviewed facility management processes and implemented conservation cost saving systems at multiple naval ship yards throughout the continental United States.

Because of his strong appreciation for the quality of life in New Hampshire, Kim returned with his family in 1994.  Initially he worked alongside his father in a family owned business. After taking control a few years later, Kim introduced new emerging HVAC technologies. Under his management, the company’s sales have increased by 500%.  Kim believes that the company has built its reputation on customer trust, hard work and by embracing their company culture of No Problems, Just Solutions.

Kim has always been interested in working with other entrepreneurs to find ways to make buildings and building technology more efficient and environmentally friendly. This year, Kim purchased two remote access cabins in the Alaskan Wilderness and is working with like-minded neighbors to create renewable power generation for an entire community of ten remote cabins.

He is a strong proponent of educational institutions which develop curriculum to address workforce needs. Each year, Kim hires one or more interns for on the job training with his master technicians, so they can develop the skills and qualify for a tech position in the HVAC industry. He believes that the Monadnock Region is uniquely poised to establish itself as a major economic hub in the State and a leader in the renewable energy field.

When he is not glued to his computer and phone responding to customer requests or employee questions, Kim can be found riding Motocross in the warmer months and snowmobiling during the winter. He has successfully completed the Iron Dog Snowmobile race twice and is presently ranked 2nd in New England Trail Riders Association (NETRA) C Senior Class of Hare Scrambles.

Kim is a founding member of the Monadnock Trail Breakers Snowmobile Club of Dublin, NH.  In this position, he applied for and was awarded multiple equipment purchase and construction grants through the State and Federal government. He is an active part of the team that keeps all grooming equipment maintained and in service for 42 miles of trail through Dublin, Peterborough, Harrisville, Hancock and Bennington.  Kim and his son Jason volunteer their time grooming a 2.2 mile NORDIC ski track for the Conval Regional High School.

Kim serves on the Board of the New Hampshire Snowmobile Association (NHSA) in the position of Cheshire County Director. He works with State and Federal entities to promote and foster snowmobiling and OHRV (wheeled) trails in the State. Kim serves as the NHSA representative to the International Snowmobile Congress (ISC) and is directly responsible for the North East Chapter of ISC winter ride ins specializing in logistics for the event.  AS the NHSA ISC representative he promotes NHSA interests at the Annual International Snowmobile Congress meetings throughout North America.
