Born in Cranford, NJ but grew up in Riverside, CT. Received a BA from Princeton University in 1972 with
a major in Environmental Studies under the Geology Department. Worked briefly as a Research
Assistant for the Pennsylvania Environmental Council before joining Filtrine Mfg. Co. in 1973. Spent five
years in California as a salesman for Filtrine and then moved back to Keene, NH in 1979 with his wife,
Bridget, where they raised four children. Is currently the President of Filtrine.
Has served as a Keene City Councilor, Chairman of the Keene Conservation Commission, Chairman the
Board of Directors of the Harris Center for Conservation Education and President of the Friends of Open
Space in Keene. Also served on the board of Antioch University New England, Ashuelot Valley
Environmental Observatory (AVEO) and the Ashuelot Valley Refuse Disposal District. Is a member and
past president of the Keene Rotary Club and is a member of the Chamber Singers of Keene. Also
currently serves on the board of the Keene Downtown Housing Corporation and the Foundation for the
Preservation of Historic Keene. Was the 2016 General Campaign Chair for the Monadnock United Way.
